Picnic Lunch and Kite-Making - 7/30/00

Above -

After picnic lunch, we built kites from giftwrap and newsprint,
except Jan and Anita used a paper bowl;
Photos show Steve (top), Shirley, Anita, Becky, Jan, Gio, John and Al.

Below -

We moved from the picnic area to the big field beside the fortifications
to fly kites with the Olympic Mountains and Puget Sound in the background;
The bowl did not fly very well for Anita, so John attached it to the string
of Alyce's purple kite that he was flying, and attached some other items too;
Connie helped Anita fly a friend's two-string kite.
