Sermon Title: "God's Remedies for Our Perplexities"
Text: Romans 8 : 18 - 28
Romans 8:18-28
Introduction: What's your favorite book of the Bible?
“If
the Bible was a ring, Romans would be the stone,
and Romans 8 would be the
highest peak of brilliance.”
“If
the Bible was mountains, Romans would be the Himalayas,
and Romans 8 would be
Mount Everest.”
Today's text shows God providing two remedies for our perplexities.
The Certainty of our Hope (Ro.8:24-25)
Hope ordinarily refers to something that is
favorable, future, and uncertain.
Hope in reference to a believer refers to something that is
favorable, future, and certain.
The Intercession of the Holy Spirit (Ro.8:26-27)
The Holy Spirit . . .
. . . Baptizes us into Christ
. . . Lives within us
. . . Teaches us
. . . Prays for us
Believer in Christ:
When life is very perplexing, be encouraged to know God provides
hope of an ultimate certain future
the prayers of the Holy Spirit Himself.
